IMPORTANT – If you receive any contact or an email entitled “DO YOU HAVE A MOMENT” requesting a donation in “Amazon Tec vouchers” do not open it, or if you have done do not respond in any way or give any of your personal details, particularly your bank account reference, but forward the email to Action Fraud, https://www.actionfraud.police.uk (you can look at the Action Fraud website at https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/reporting-fraud-and-cyber-crime) or telephone them on 0300 123 2040.
Important – The police have asked churches to make congregation members aware of some scams – attempts to gain your personal details or extract money from you by false pretences – that are circulating around Covid and vaccination. Staying Connected

Following the Sunday service, at 10:45am, we will enjoy a virtual get together over coffee, via Zoom. If you would like to join us for this, please email Andrew Duff on duffandrew@btinternet.com for the meeting ID, password, or for any quesr Home page tions about using Zoom.

In addition to this, we also have some groups meeting for fellowship and to pray Compline together on weekday evenings via Zoom – if you would like to know more about these or join in, please contact us.

St Michael’s prayer chain  If you have any requests for particular prayer our prayer chain would love to hear them. Contact Paul, Veronica or Annette to start them praying!

Lent Lunches

March 9th is the date that St. Michaels are hosting the Lent Lunch in St James’s Church Hall. If you are able to make soup, help on the day or contribute to the cost of ingredients please speak to our churchwardens – Anne or Pat.


Parochial Church Meeting

Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held on Sunday, March 26th immediately after the 10am Parish Eucharist. New members are needed for the PCC. If you feel this is something you would like to be part of, there are forms at the back of church. Please take one. Any present member of the PCC will be happy to help if you have any questions.


Christian Aid Week       14th – 20th May 2023

For the last two years a very successful plant stall has been held during this important week and the response to the request to grow whatever you feel able has been marvellous. So, once again, even if all you have is a warm windowsill, please can you plant a few seeds or grow a few cuttings to help towards this year’s effort. The money raised during Christian Aid week is needed more than ever.


The Bamburgh Ossuary – A Talk by Jessica Turner

Thursday 9th February 7pm for 7:15

Everyone is invited to come along and hear Jessica speak.  Her subjects will include Anglo-Saxons, early Christian Burial Practices, Northern Saints and more!  Her tales are not to be missed!  Although this talk will take place at the A.G.M of Christians Together in Alnwick (CtiA), anyone and everyone is invited.  Refreshments will be served from 7.00pm, the meeting will begin at 7.15pm and it is hoped that Jessica will begin at 7.45pm.  You are very welcome to enjoy your refreshments during the meeting or come along a little later.

The stalls included crafts, jams, cakes, toys, tombola, books and jigsaws, mystery parcels, bottles.

This was a really splendid occasion. It is our main fundraising event of the autumn and also an excellent opportunity to welcome our community into Church.

“Following in the Footsteps of St Aidan”

On Monday August 9th 2021 the 10 new bells were delivered and  were on display in the church for all to see before they were lifted into the belfry.  At 7pm there was a short service of blessing by The Very Revd. Mark Wroe, Bishop of Berwick. On St. Michael’s Day 29th September 2021 the bells rang out before and after the 7pm Service of Dedication by Bishop Mark.

Two of the three old bells are on permanent display in the south aisle along with some of the grafffiti from the old lead roof covering. Please see our Belltower page for further details.
